What Siding Problems Do You Have?
Siding damage is easy to miss from the driveway, and it matters most once water gets behind the wall. These are the signs worth a closer look.
- Cracks, holes or chips after a hailstorm
- Panels or boards blown loose or missing after high wind
- Warped, buckled or bowed sections
- Soft, swollen or rotting boards, often under an overflowing gutter
- Gaps at corners, windows and trim where water can get in
- Paint that keeps peeling in the same spots
- Patched or faded sections that no longer match the house
- Siding that has simply reached the end of its life
Our Siding Services
Repair, replacement, and the roof and the siding together after a storm.
-
Siding Repair
Storm-damaged, rotted or loose siding repaired and matched to the existing exterior, so the repair does not stand out from the rest of the wall.
-
Siding Replacement
When the damage covers whole walls, or the siding has worn out with age, we replace it.
-
Roof and Siding Together
Hail and wind rarely stop at the roofline. When a storm damages the siding along with the shingles, we handle both, so one contractor covers the whole exterior instead of two.
Siding for San Antonio Homes
What wears siding out here is the weather that wears out roofs: hail, wind and long, hot summers.
We do siding work across San Antonio, Stone Oak, Selma, Live Oak, Timberwood Park, Bulverde, Boerne, Helotes and the Hill Country north of the city.
Storms hit the walls too
Wind drives hail into the walls that face a storm as well as onto the roof. NOAA's storm records show a storm on April 12, 2016 that produced 4.5 inch hail in northwestern San Antonio, and one on May 3, 2021 with hail up to 5.5 inches on the east side of Bexar County. We document siding damage along with the roof, as part of our storm damage restoration.
Long summers work on the joints
San Antonio summers run past 100 degrees, and the sun works on the paint, caulk and trim year after year. The joints around windows, doors and corners are usually where water first gets behind siding, so they are the first place to look.
Gutters and siding fail together
An overflowing gutter pours water down the same stretch of wall in every storm, and the siding under it is often the first to rot. Fixing the siding without fixing the gutter only starts the clock again, and we handle both, including gutters sized for Texas downpours.
Frequently Asked Questions
The questions we hear most about siding.
Can you repair just the damaged part of the wall?
Yes. We repair siding as well as replace it, and repairs are matched to the existing exterior.
Do you handle the roof and the siding at the same time?
Yes. When a storm damages both, we take care of the roof and the siding, so you deal with one contractor for the whole exterior.
Does insurance cover hail damage to siding?
Coverage depends on your policy, and your insurance company decides it. You file the claim. We document the storm damage, we are there when your adjuster inspects the roof, and if the insurance company has questions about the roof or the damage, our project manager answers them.
Storm Damage on the Walls Too?
Tell us what the house needs. If the storm reached the roof as well, one contractor can handle the whole exterior.
